Aug 22, 2021

The second stop on Negative Split's 2021 Back to Nature Series is Kellogg, ID and Silver Mountain.  On race morning, ride North America's longest gondola to the start line. There are 3 awesome race distances, good for everyone from beginners to advanced trail runner. Silver Mountain features breathtaking views from atop Kellogg and Wardner Peaks and a variety of terrain including shale rock, single track, and double track trails. Choose between a 6k (3.7mi), 9k (5.6mi), and 18k (11.2mi) course.

Registration Includes:

  • Soft-feel tech t-shirt
  • Custom slate rock finisher medal
  • Chip timing
  • Gondola lift ticket
  • Gear check
  • Well supported aid stations along course
  • Finisher food

Packet Pick-up

Packet pick-up will be at the base of the Silver Mountain gondola. Packet pick-up will start at 6:30am PST on race morning. Please arrive at packet pick-up between 40-60minutes before your start. This will allow you plenty of time to park, get your packet, and ride the gondola to the start line. The Gondola will not start operation until 7:00am. Please do not arrive more than 60 minutes before your start to prevent congregating.

Start Times

Runners will start in small socially distant start waves. Runners will be able to self select their start time about 4-6 weeks prior to the race once we are given the final COVID protocol numbers we have to follow. We ask that you arrive at packet pick-up 40-60minutes before your selected start time. This will allow plenty of time to check-in and ride the gondola to the start. Don't worry, your race is chip timed and if you are late for your start, you will still get to run and get an accurate time.

Please ride the gondola only with the same people you drove to the mountain with. More specifics about the gondola will be released as we get closer to the event and as COVID-19 guidance changes.

Gear Check

Gear check will be available at the start line after you get off the gondola. In an effort to reduce waste, we ask runners to please bring your own bag to put your belongings in.  We will provide a tyvek hospital type wrist band to label your bag with your bib number.  You will need your bib number showing when you drop off and pick-up your bag. Gear check is only available for athletes wearing bib numbers.

Registration is now open! Register here.
