COVID-19 Update 3/18/20

Silver Mountain Resort has made the decision to remain closed for the rest of the 2019-20 winter season. We share in the disappointment of the season being cut short, but we believe this is in the best interest of our guests, employees, and community.

“Our goal has been to try and remain open and honor passholders and existing reservations. However, given the continued growth of COVID-19, we believe it is in everyone’s best interest to cease operations,“ states general manager Jeff Colburn. “We want to thank everyone in our community for your tremendous support during the winter season.”

Guests who have existing reservations with any of our facilities through the remainder of the season, please call 866-345-2675. Please understand that we will be receiving a high volume of calls, so your patience is appreciated.

Silver Mountain Lodging will remain open, as well as Noah’s restaurant for take-out only. The ski area, water park, and retail spaces will be closed.

We are disappointed that the season has been cut short, but we are looking forward to a great summer season. Stay safe and stay healthy!

COVID-19 Update 3/15/20

Silver Mountain will be open March 16, 2020

Like so many of you, we have been closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Silver Mountain Resort is open with normal operating hours. Given the dynamic nature of the situation, that schedule and plan is subject to change. The health and safety of our guests, staff members, and communities is very important to us. We’ve been gathering regular updates and guidance from the CDC and state-level health departments and are working to implement best practices.

Some guests have asked about the environment in Silver Rapids Indoor Water Park in relation to COVID-19. The CDC recently stated that "there is no evidence COVID-19 can be spread through the use of pools or hot tubs, and that proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19."

We have also increased sterilization efforts in our gondolas. If a guest has the desire to distance themselves from other guests on the gondola, they can request to ride our gondolas by themselves or only with their accompanying party.

We have eliminated about 1/3 of the seating in the Mountain House to increase spacing in the lodge, as well as not opening the salad and soup bar. We will not be offering daycare at this time. The Silver Cup and Spring Carnival have been cancelled. Staff members have been instructed to stay home if they show even the slightest signs of illness or fever.

In the interest of public health and accommodating the interests of our guests, we offer flexibility in existing and future reservations for visits between March and June 2020. Reservations for stays until June 30, 2020 may be postponed or canceled without fees for up to 24 hours before arrival.

We believe time together is invaluable and hope you will continue with your planned family getaway to Silver Mountain Resort. Our team will continue to monitor official health department updates for additional guidance and recommendations. For specific details on COVID-19, we suggest visiting www.coronavirus.gov.
