Welcome to Silver Mountain's Winter Ski and Snowboard School
Let our instructors help unleash your riding passion. We have programs and packages for skiers and snowboarders of every age and ability level.
Silver Mountain Resort's PSIA/AASI Certified Sports School is perfect for all skill levels (first timers to experts), ages 4 and older. We are dedicated to providing our guests the best possible learning experience. Our school's team of professionals participate in continuing education programs to bring you the latest and greatest coaching methods.

A few basic things will make you and/or your child's experience on the mountain enjoyable. Please arrive at the Sports School ready to ski or snowboard. Weather conditions can change rapidly so dress in layers. It is better to take something off if it gets too warm versus not being warm enough. Goggles or sunglasses are essential to protect your eyes and sun screen and lip balm are highly recommended.
Adult Lessons (ages 13 & up)
Simply the best and quickest way to improve your skiing and snowboarding skills. Private and semi-private lessons are available anytime by our staff of experienced professionals.
Private or semi-private lessons
$60 for 1 hour; $45 each additional hour and $20/hr for each additional person.
Ski and Snowboarding - Group Lessons and Packages
$35 per person. Group lessons begin at 10:30a on weekdays and at 10:30a and 1p on weekends and during holiday periods.
"Learn-To" Package $70
This super affordable package includes ski or snowboard rental equipment, group lesson and beginner area lift ticket (Prospector lift only).
Please arrive early to check out the rental equipment.
"Next-Step" Package $80
Designed for the individual who has graduated past the first day of skiing or snowboarding. You will have access to all of our beginner terrain.
Package includes rental equipment, group lesson and a lift ticket. Please arrive early to check out equipment.
EZ Ski & Ride 1-2-3 (Ages 13+) $129
Making it EZ for first-timers! Package is intended for one person and includes 3 lift tickets for our beginner terrain, 3 ski or snowboard equipment rental packages, and 3 group lessons all at one incredibly low price. Not available during holiday periods.
Ski and Snowboarding - Children's Programs
Minor's Camp Day Care (ages 2 to 7)
Fun for kids and freedom for parents! Fully supervised and licensed daycare facility located in the lower level of the Mountain House. Open from 8:30a to 4p on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holiday periods. Reservations are recommended and walk-ins are welcome when space is available. $9 per hour
$30 for 1/2 day (includes snacks); $20 for each additional sibling
$55 for full day (includes lunch and snacks): $45 for each additional sibling
Tiny Prospectors (ages 3 to 4) - Weekends and Holidays only
This program is designed to give you time to enjoy your day while knowing your child is well cared for the entire day! Program includes a full day of daycare plus outside"snow play" time with your child. $65 / $75 (with ski rental)
Lil' Prospectors (ages 4 to 7) - Weekends and Holidays only
An outdoor adventure your children will never get tired of! This program is designed for beginner skiers and snowboarders. Program includes a full day of care plus a 1 hr private lesson.
$80 with own ski or snowboard equipment
$90 with Silver Mountain Sports rental equipment
Limited availability. Reservations required.
Silver Kids (skiers: 6 to 13; snowboarders: 7 to 13) - Weekends and Holidays only
Your kids will beg you to attend this school! Classes are for skiers and snowboarders and are grouped together by age and ability.
Group Rates (lesson only):
$35 for 1.5 hours (10:30a - 12p)
$60 for full day with supervised lunch (10:30a - 2:30p)
$200 4-pack - four full day lessons for one child with lunch

$65 for 1.5 hours
$85 for full day (10:30a - 2:30p) includes supervised lunch
Silver Sliders (ages 7 to 13)
A full season program running on Saturdays from early January to late March designed to take their skiing and snowboarding to the next level. Program is open to snow riders of all abilities! Saturdays from 10a to 3p.
