Welcome to angler's paradise. North Idaho has the greatest concentration of
lakes in the western states and nearly 2,000 miles of rivers and streams.
Rainbow, cutthroat, brown, and brook trout reside in many of the rivers as well
some of the area's less accessible mountain lakes and streams in Idaho. Diverse
habitat supports a large variety of lake fish such as yellow perch, crappie,
pumpkinseed, bullheads, largemouth bass, northern pike and mountain whitefish.
Silver Mountain guests have easy access to two outstanding rivers for fishing
-- Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe - along with several Idaho mountain lakes and the
25 mile long Lake Coeur d'Alene.
The Coeur d'Alene River is home to a thriving population of both cutthroat and
rainbow trout and is sure to keep an angler's rod bent all day. The St. Joe
River is a designated "wild and scenic" Idaho river and is best described as a
"blue ribbon" cutthroat trout fishery.
