Silveroxx!


Silveroxx Mountain Bike Festival is a three day celebration of two wheel off road fun!  With events for every rider type including a night ride, ladies day, kids races, downhill race, super-d (top to bottom) race, best trick, minibike dh, minibike keg slalom, bunny hop contest, and outdoor movies!  If you want to just do your own thing, that's great too, we keep as much of the mountain open as humanly possible during each event, and the dirt is typically amazing this time of year.  Come up ans see why we've been voted the #1 bike park in the Northwest two years running.

Friday

Dirty Ladies Day Final Ride- Meet in the village and then head up the hill for a casual group ride and a chance to meet and ride with a bunch of like minded ladies. There is no charge to participate and although there will be no official instruction, this is a great way to pick up a few tips and meet other riders in our area. Riders of all ages and abilities are welcome and depending on the size of the group we may break off into a few different riding groups. $20 lift ticket special for the ladies.

For Silveroxx Only- Discounted Dirty Ladies Day Tickets are available all day.  Group ride will meet in front of Noah’s Canteen at 9:30 and again after lunch at 1:00. 

Bike Hub Chainless Race- Racing on Jackass gets a lot more challenging without a chain.  Qualified mechanics from the Bike Hub will be at the top of the course to remove and install your chain, you just worry about carrying your speed through the corners!  Registration- Online until September 21, Village Friday 9/23 9:00-noon, Sat 9/24 8:00-11:00.  $10 race entry, this event does not count towards the series.  Chain removal and riders meeting at 1:30 Race Start at 2:00.  Awards in village at 5:00.

Bike Hub Poker Run- Pick up a card every time you head through the bottom of Chair 3.  We’ve got some great prizes from the Bike Hub for the best hands!  11:00 to 3:00.  Prizes at Chainless Race awards in the village at 5:00

Moon Snuggle Night Ride- A top to bottom ride in the dark!  Bring some quality lights with you for a unique way to end the season at Silver.  Take the last ride up the gondola by 6:15 and hang out until it gets dark enough to ride.  We’ll break into groups by difficulty level of trail and head down the mountain with knowledgeable local guides.  Make sure to bring supplies, because nobody wants to walk out in the dark.  Serfas will have a limited number of Demo lights available, more details will be available closer to the event.   Intermediate riders and up only, lights are required.  Ride will be departing the top around 6:45.

Awards at 5:00 in the village for SRS DH #3 & Steeziest Steeze Off, big prizes will be raffled at 5:00, don’t miss out.     

3rd Annual Steeziest Steeze Off - Baby Swiss features a large drop and step-up combo for you to get steezy on.  This was a crowd favorite last year.  This contest starts immediately after the Pros finish up racing on Frankenbeans.  No charge to enter, must sign a waiver or have a guardian sign a waiver if you are under 18, check in at the top of Baby Swiss.


Saturday Night Shenanigans

A Bunny Hop Contest and Minibike Keg dual slalom. Each event is a $10 buy in, winner takes all for their Category.  Limited entries, Categories are Men U18, Men18+, Women U18, and Women 18+.  Helmets Required. 

Start 8pm, register 7:30-7:50, behind Noah's Canteen.

Bunny Hop Contest- Starting 6” off the ground and working there way up, all categories go through each height at the same time.  Contestants have up to two tries to complete a height before being disqualified.  After each round the stick is moved up, the last person standing is the winner for their category.  In the event of a tie, the winner will be the one with the least crossbar knock offs.  Helmet required.

Minibike Dual Slalom- Beer keg slalom bikes with 16” wheels or smaller and coaster brakes.  Your butt has to stay on the seat, knocked over kegs must be righted before continuing, pushing with feet is not permitted. Head to head racing, single elimination, out and back, and helmets are required.  Max of 16 people per category.

Bike Movies in the Village- Enjoy some mountain bike movies under the stars, starts at 8:00, open to all ages.  Weather Dependent.

Sunday

 

Gondolas upload Starts at 9:00, Chair 3 opens at 9:25.  Ticketing open at 8:45.

Silver Race Series Super-D #3-   Top to bottom action, this is a Super D with 3,400’ of decent.  Expect times from fourteen to twenty minutes.  This is a signature event and the perfect way to wrap up a record breaking season! 

Registration- Online until September 21, Village Friday 9:00-noon, Sat 8:00-11:00.  Racers Meeting 10:30 in the Mt House Grill. Race starts 10:45.  There will be no registration on Sunday!

Start order for Sunday is PRO, CAT1, CAT2, CAT3

Courses:

Cat 2/3     Hammer, Lower Jackass, Corkscrew, Highlife, Afternoon Delight, Pepsi Can, Pirate Trail, Wide Open, Man Child, Frog Trees.


Cat 1/Pro    Hammer, Lower Hammer, Mutton Conductor, Afternoon Delight, Pepsi Can, Pirate Trail, Wide Open, Man Child, Frog Trees.


Overall Awards at 5:00 in the village, big prizes will be raffled at 5:00, don’t miss out.       

Idaho State Mini Bike Championship-  A Le mans start followed by high speed, elbow to elbow racing down the bunny hill and then onto Jackass.  Full face helmets, coaster brakes and bikes with 16” wheels or smaller are all required.  Wear protection, be prepared to crash and spend $20 or less on your bike.  $10 to enter, limited entries, winner takes home traveling trophy.  2:30-2:50 registration at the Mountain House 3:00 start at the top of the bunny hill.  Must be 18 to enter, limited to first 25 entries.

Silver Kids Race- 4:30 in the Village, a race for the little ones.  Categories are 6 & under and 10-6 years old.  Awards immediately follow races, no cost to enter, helmets required.

Lodging:  Silver Mountain Lodging is offering discounted rates for Silveroxx!  The three most common rooms are listed below but there is a discount on any room type if you call in with the code.  All rooms include waterpark for the duration of your stay.  Studios and dlx studios have a kitchenette, larger rooms include a full kitchen with everything you need to cook.  Park your car, enjoy your weekend and don’t drive until it’s time to head back to the real world.  Special lodging rates available to racers, please visit www.northernpeaksalliance.com for information.

Overnight Parking: Overnight parking is FREE in the rear gravel parking lot. There is a blue room and trash dumpster provided plus more bathroom facilities available in the gondola upload area.  There is a dump station located on Bunker Ave. between I-90 and the Silver Mountain parking lot. Please keep it tidy so we can continue to offer this convenience.

Bike Storage: 

We are located right on I-90 and right in town.  Please make sure you keep an eye on your bikes and take the proper precautions to ensure they don’t walk off.  We don’t have many bikes stolen, but this is a big event and it is well known that a bunch of high-end equipment will be in town.  Please take advantage of our Free Bike Valet Service this weekend as described below.

The rooms that make up Morning Star Lodge are independently owned units and bikes are not allowed within the rooms.  However, we do offer secure bike storage accessible by keycard, bring your own lock.  If you do not want to keep your bike in the normal storage areas we will also be providing a Bike Valet Service, details below.
